Full-time MLT or MT in our Laboratory Department

JOB SUMMARY:

The Medical Laboratory Technician performs various technical, clerical, and information system related procedures in the laboratory, including specimen procurement, as requested on patient specimens, control materials and proficiency samples.  This position also operates laboratory equipment with established policies in order to provide timely and accurate test results as well as monitoring quality control procedures and maintains involvement in laboratory’s performance improvement activities.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBLITIES:

1. Follows all laboratory policies and procedures, (administrative, technical, quality control, maintenance and corrective actions,) to maximize efficiency and effectiveness of lab services.
2. Responsible for the communication of test results to all clinical personnel that may be involved in care of the patient.
3. Operates, calibrates, conducts performance checks, and maintains clinical lab instruments and equipment.
